My favorite river lunch!

Chicken Salad.
Diced Chicken
Grapes, sliced in half
Mayo
Green Onions, diced
Salt
Pepper
Curry
Combine all ingredients and serve on tortillas
(I like wheat tortillas)

MEXICAN SURPRISE:
Serves 10-12

Cook until done
4lbs Ground Beef
1 yellow onion
1 can tomato sauce
when meat is brown
stir in 1/2 bag of Frito Chips
Let it sit for a few minutes then top with remaining Frito hips and shredded cheese.
Serve with sour cream

More Salmon River pictures. This is Maxwell beach. We spent the afternoon and last night there. Best beach ever. There is a stream along the side and beautiful pine trees all along the back. Loved it!

Salmon River in Idaho. It was so beautiful. The amazing thing about the river is the time you have to spend with the most wonderful people in the world. It is amazing. The stars were so beautiful. I knew I should go to sleep, but I couldn't just close my eyes. Every time I did I had to open them again to look at the night sky. The rapids were fun and amazing. The beaches were white,clean, and beautiful. Even better was having everyone unplugged from their electronics. It gave us time to talk, laugh, joke,discover, and enjoy each other. I came home in the best mood. Salmon is called the River of No Return. I returned! I returned focused, happy, and thankful for the beautiful Earth we live on!

Egg Slicer

When we cook for crowds on the river an egg slicer is a great tool to allow us to cut many items quickly. Some of the items that this tool can be used for are mushrooms, strawberries, olives, etc.

Dave Stratton

Dave has been running rivers with Tour West since 1969, our first year in business. His father Frank is one of the original owners. In the beginning Dave was a child and would run trips with is dad.
He has now guided over 300 trips in the Grand Canyon(only a hand full of people can say that!) and at least a 150 trips on Cataract Canyon and the Salmon River. Dave has a deep love for the river. He is a great story teller. He has a vast knowledge about each rivers human and natural history, geology, ecology, hydrology and many other facts about each river that he enjoys sharing with his passengers while on the river.
One client wrote us after spending 16 days on the river with Dave. He states, "From day one to day sixteen all your guides were professional in performing their duties and they all had their own unique personalities. I admire Dave for his rock solid handling of the crew.
